Only the tabs you allow

The assistant works only in tabs it opened or that you shared with it. A frame marks the tab while it works, and you can stop a task at any time.

Tabrein Guard

By default, after the assistant clicks, presses a key or fills in a form, any form submission or data it would send to the site is held until you answer.

Clear about your data

While a task runs, the tab it works in goes to tabrein.com and to Amazon Web Services (Amazon Bedrock), which runs the AI model. The extension has no analytics or advertising code. Privacy policy

You decide what the assistant may do.

In the side panel’s Settings, each permission is Allow, Ask or Block. On Ask, Tabrein shows the request in its own window, outside any tab the assistant could click in.

Next to the model, the Approvals mode sets how often it asks: “Ask first” (the default) shows every committing step for your OK; “Don’t ask” lets it finish the task on its own, including paying, sending and deleting. Your blocked sites stay closed in both.

There you can also list sites the assistant must never work on, such as your bank, and see which of your tabs it may use.

What is Tabrein?

An AI assistant that works in your own Google Chrome. You tell it the task in the extension’s side panel, or in the Tabrein app for Mac and Windows, and it opens pages, reads them, clicks, types and fills in forms in a tab of its own.

Do I need another AI account?

No. Tabrein comes with the AI models it uses, so you need no other AI account. A Tabrein account and credits are enough; new accounts get free credits to start.

How do I sign in?

With Google, Apple or your email, on tabrein.com. The side panel and the desktop apps open tabrein.com to sign you in and connect by themselves; they share the same account, credits and chats.

Can you see the pages the assistant works on?

The assistant runs on our servers. While a task runs, the tab it works in is sent to tabrein.com and to the AI model provider, Amazon Web Services (Amazon Bedrock), so it can decide its next step. Chats are kept until you delete them, and for at most 180 days without use. See the privacy policy.

Which tabs can it use?

Only the tabs it opened itself and the ones you shared with it from the side panel’s Settings. While it works, a soft frame marks its tab; take a shared tab back at any time.

What does it ask me before doing?

Anything that can’t be undone or that speaks for you: paying, ordering, sending a message, posting, deleting, submitting a form. By default, Tabrein Guard also holds any form submission that follows its clicks until you answer. You answer in the side panel or in the desktop app.

Can I keep it away from passwords and some sites?

Yes. Typing into password fields is blocked by default; when a page needs a login, the assistant asks you to sign in yourself. In the side panel’s Settings you can block whole sites, such as your bank.

Will it solve CAPTCHAs?

No. Tabrein does not bypass CAPTCHAs, logins or other access controls. When a site asks for one, you complete it and the assistant continues.

What does it cost?

Installing is free and new accounts get 200 free credits. After that, choose a monthly plan from $9 or buy one-time credit packs from $5; subscribers get 20% more credits on every pack. Credits never expire, and you can cancel a plan any time. See pricing.

Can I get a refund?

Yes, for a credit pack you have not used, within 14 days of buying it. If a task fails on our side, its credits come back by themselves. See the refund policy.

Which browsers are supported?

Google Chrome 116 or later on macOS, Windows and Linux. Official support for Microsoft Edge, Brave, Arc and Opera is coming soon; until then they usually work when you install Tabrein from the Chrome Web Store.
